Welcome to my site – not to be confused with MySpace. Whether you are a teacher, a parent, a home-schooling parent, an administrator, or just interested in how children learn, retain, and retrieve needed information, I hope the visual approach through concept models, or patterns, will be of help to you and any student with whom you are working.

This site relates to my books, published by Rowman and Littlefield’s Education Division. In January 2008, with the functional title: Brain-based Teaching for All Subjects: Patterns for Promoting Learning, the first book was launched. Selected patterns, concept models, are available at this website for you to see and print-out. Others may/will be added in the future. The companion volume (June, 2009) is Teach the Way the Brain Learns: Curriculum Themes Build Neuron Networks.
